This session begins with a guest who is no stranger to our Flight Levels Community: Lukas Schmidt kicks things off with a brief introduction on how to depict and connect a Flight Levels Work-System Topology (WST) on a Businessmap whiteboard.
Flight Level 3 is the part that doesn\u2019t fit on a standard board. Strategy work isn\u2019t linear: it requires a much more free-flowing approach, and a whiteboard gives you exactly that. The Flight Level 3 board becomes a narrative you can actually visualize, and that narrative is the \u201cS\u201d in SOFI: the stories from which you derive your outcomes, before those outcomes become flight items. (OKRA\u2014Objectives, Key Results, Actions\u2014is the older Flight Levels representation of the same idea, and all of these components can be displayed in Businessmap.)
There's a nice twist to this one: \u201cFlight Level 3 in Businessmap\u201d was a topic that Lukas himself posted on our board during an earlier session, and we discussed it. Now he's showing us how he figured out how to actually display the entire WST in a way that's easy to understand.
After the intro, we'll go back to our usual Lean Coffee format for the rest of the evening: no set agenda, no slides\u2014you bring the topics, we vote on the spot, and we tackle the most popular ones one at a time within a time limit.
