Moving forward together—professionally and personally.
Why is it worth participating in the mentoring program?
The mentoring program pairs newcomers to project management with experienced project managers and provides a clear framework for individual growth.
It offers project management newcomers who are just starting their careers in project management and are looking for support the opportunity to learn from the experience of others. Conversely, mentors have the opportunity to pass on their knowledge and experience.
In any case, you'll meet new people and continue to grow—both professionally and personally.
How does the program work?
A mentoring session lasts six to seven months and takes place once a year. It usually begins in April or May.
Mentors and mentees must register in advance; matching will take place afterward. The terms and conditions of participation will be published in advance.
What topics are possible?
Each tandem has the freedom to determine its own direction and focus in terms of content. The topics are usually based on the personal interests of the mentors and mentees—but in any case, they relate to project management in general.
It is important to make a clear distinction:
The mentoring program does not prepare participants for PMI certifications. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that the mentor and mentee will be in the same industry.
Who can participate?
Mentees:
Beginners in project management, interested individuals without PM certification, PMI members with no more than one year of membership, and students.
Mentors:
Experienced project managers with at least five years of relevant professional experience and a project management certification (PMP or higher).
